Betania
"The Bridge to Heaven" by Michael H. Brown
chronicles the events of Betania
The bishop, Pio Bello Ricardo, a trained
psychologist, said he has seen an array of phenomena around Esperanza,
including "the phenomenon of profuse sweating and perfume coming out of
her, a perfume like roses. And I perceived
it clearly. It was sweat, but it was sweat that had the smell of roses....I
spoke to Cardinal [Joseph] Ratzinger twice about this," the prelate said,
referring to the prefect for the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of
the Faith, who is widely believed to be the Pope's most important
consultant. "He had no intention of interfering. [Our discussion] was
mainly about Betania. I also spoke to the Pope about it. It was a general
observation about procedure. The Pope said it
seemed like a sign of the times, the many apparitions around the
world. He recommended a book about Medjugorje by Father Rene Laurentin. My
personal impression is that the Pope believed the apparition of Medjugorje
was authentic. I explained the apparition at Betania and the main message
of reconciliation. He said that we must be
prudent, but that this seems to be a sign of terrible times. The
Pope said the Holy Spirit is using Our Lady as an instrument in
evangelizing the world.

DAY 1 - DEPART USA Your pilgrimage begins as
you depart on your international flight for Caracas where our
representative greets you upon arrival and escorts you to your hotel.
DAY 2 and 3 - BETANIA Betania, the Monastery of the Miracle
and the weeping Icon will be the focus during your stay. Of the more than
25 reported apparition sites throughout the world, Betania ranks near the
very top. The Eucharistic Miracle is visited and venerated in the
Monastery where it reposes. We meet with the priest who experienced this
life changing event for prayer and healing with the Mass at the heart of
our pilgrimage.
DAY 4 - BETANIA The apparitions which occurred in Betania have been approved by
the local Bishop (we will meet with him-health pending), where thousands
of eye-witnesses have reported seeing the Holy Mother, Jesus, as well as
Michael the Archangel. Innumerable reports and pictures document the
spectacular enveloping manifestations of light and color, proclaim the
Lord’s presence and transforming peace that is extremely similar to the
feeling encountered at Medjugorje. The Waterfall with its' healing waters
is situated aside the Grotto at the edge of the rain forest. All who visit
the little Grotto usually meet with the first visionary who still sees Our
Lady and receives prophetic messages.
The closest apparition site to
America.
