You may be interested to know how our trip went in 1988! Well it was amazing. It went so smoothly that I called the same company we went with in September of '88 - Peace Center Tours - to head up this pilgrimage in October of 2004. To tell you details of '88 would be to write a book. So, soon I would like to do just that and publish the journal my grandmother had asked me to keep while there so I could relate everything back to her and my Granddad upon return.
Incidentally, she's Methodist. God's call is to all people of all faiths.
Mary says:
"It is you who are divided here on earth. The Muslims and the Orthodox, for the same reason as Catholics are
equal before my Son and me. You are all my children. Certainly all religions are not
equal, but all men are equal before God, as St. Paul says. It does not suffice to belong to the Catholic Church to be saved, but it is necessary to respect the commandments of God in following one's conscience. "
She also said:
"My dear little ones, My Son and I do not cut the cake into little pieces where faith is involved; we do not put the walls up that divide you; you have done that to yourselves. Rather, we look into your hearts, for that is where true love of God and others is found."
Many Protestant and Muslim churches have come to a deeper respect for Marian apparitions. Through messages that Jesus' mother is giving to the world, God is trying to draw us closer, not further apart. As St. Paul says in Ephesians 4,3-5:
"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called - one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in
all…."
Mary first appeared on June 24, 1981 - the Feast of John the Baptist. Just as he was sent to preach repentance and conversion before the coming of Christ, so is She sent to call the world back to God before His Second Coming - or the reign of God's Kingdom on Earth. The children reported that she "appears on a cloud with a crown of twelve stars above her head". Is she the same lady that in Revelation 12 verse 1 was, "clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head"?
